Profile

Mitch Foster represents individuals accused of felonies, misdemeanors and DUI throughout Michigan. He has gained recent acquittals for clients accused of assault and battery, domestic violence, criminal sexual conduct, home invasion, larceny, breaking and entering, fleeing and eluding, and driving while license suspended. Mr. Foster also handles criminal appeals, having gained early releases for several clients serving prison and county jail sentences. Mitch graduated from University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 1992. He is a member of the National College for DUI Defense, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan.

Other Outstanding Achievements: Participation in the Michigan Supreme Court's "Court Community Connections" Program in Historic Barry County Courthouse.  Successfully argued against the Macomb County Prosecutor's coercive "all or nothing" packgage plea bargain policy.  On June 13, 2008, the Supreme Court ruled that there was an inadequate factual basis for the client's guilty plea and reversed his plea based conviction.  The program included a luncheon, and after argument debriefing with questions and answers with local high school students, to help educate them on the legal system and the experience before the Supreme Court.  People v.
