I have extensive experience in appellate work, insurance coverage work, and professional liability defense (especially medical and legal). I am a past chair of the appellate practice section of the State Bar of Michigan, listed in Best Attorneys in America, and named a "Super Lawyer" for every year this organization has ranked attorneys in Michigan. Currently, I chair the indemnity law committee of the Insurance and Indemnity section of the state bar of Michigan. I was named one of ten "2007 Lawyers of the Year" by Michigan Lawyers Weekly. In 2010, that same publication listed me in the inaugural class of 20 women lawyers honored as Michigan "Women in the Law." I am a member of the Michigan Supreme Court Advocate's Guild and serve the Michigan Supreme Court by appointment to the Michigan Standard Civil Jury Instruction Committee.

I am a member of the American Society of Professional Legal Writers and have authored numerous articles on assorted legal topics. I am one of the editors of Michigan Insurance Law and Practice, and Torts: Michigan Law & Practice (2d). I write the chapter on post-trial procedure in Michigan Civil Procedure. These volumes are published by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
