Stephen (Steve) J. Hopkins is a founding partner of Hopkins & Forhan, a Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, law firm with a statewide personal injury practice. Mr. Hopkins specializes in representing individuals and small businesses against insurance companies, hospitals and other corporate defendants. Over the course of a 35-year career, he has handled personal injury and wrongful death cases involving automobile accidents, medical malpractice and other types of negligence, as well as a large number of small business and insurance company disputes. Mr. Hopkins has successfully recovered millions of dollars for his clients who represent a broad cross section of Michigan residents.
Mr. Hopkins has been a leader throughout life. He received his undergraduate degree from University of Michigan Business School in 1972, ranking second in his class, and he graduated with honors from University of Michigan School of Law in 1975. He remains actively involved with a number of professional organizations, including the State Bar of Michigan and the Oakland County Bar Association. Steve and his wife Cindi met as freshmen at the University of Michigan. They are the parents of two sons; both are graduates of the University of Michigan, and one is in the process of obtaining his law degree.
