Thomas W. Cranmer is a Principal, Managing Director and Deputy Chief of the Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group at Miller Canfield. Mr. Cranmer specializes in both criminal and civil litigation. He has represented both individual and corporate clients in such diverse criminal matters as income tax evasion; Medicaid-Medicare, and healthcare fraud; Food & Drug Administration investigations; criminal OSHA, MIOSHA and state/federal environmental matters; criminal antitrust investigations; Customs violations; bankruptcy fraud; mail and wire fraud; insurance fraud; mortgage fraud; bank fraud and embezzlement; defense contractor fraud; securities fraud and matters with the SEC; public corruption; federal election law violations; immigration matters, police corruption and misconduct, RICO violations, violations of the Controlled Substance Act and assaultive crimes. Mr. Cranmer is experienced in conducting internal corporate audits, independent Audit Committee reviews and counseling concerning corporate compliance programs. Mr. Cranmer has also been involved in handling complex civil litigation, "Bet the Company" litigation, intellectual property litigation, labor and employment litigation and class action litigation. He has represented both attorneys and judges in a variety of proceedings alleging malpractice or professional misconduct.
