I have represented individuals in injury claims since my graduation from law school in 1992. It has been the primary focus of my practice for the last 16 years. I have been a longstanding member the Executive Board of the Michigan Association of Justice [MAJ] and I currently co-chair MAJs Publication Committee which works to help educate the finest trial attorneys in Michigan. Further, in 2003, I was nominated and elected to membership in The Fellows of the Michigan State Bar Foundation.I served on the Board of Directors for the Father Fred Foundation, the Council of Advocates for the Great Lakes Children's Museum and the Advisory Board to National City Bank in Traverse City, Michigan. I am the past president of the Ancient Order of Hibernians.From 2000 to present, I have moderated MTLA's winter seminar which focused on litigation strategies and techniques. Recently, I was recognized as one of the Top 100 Trial Attorneys in Michigan by the American Trial Lawyers Association. I sit on the Board of Directors to the Michigan Brain Injury Association and the Legal Advisory Counsel to the Sara Jane Brain Foundation. I have lectured frequently in areas of trial discovery, depositions, auto no-fault, and closed head injuries. In 2002, I was asked by the State Bar of Michigan to author an article on the state of hedonic damages in Michigan for their litigation section. In 1998, I received the highest plaintiff's verdict in the history of Oscoda County, MI in a case involving an auto accident. I have tried cases throughout the State of Michigan and also California.

Bar/Professional Activity: Asked by the Michigan Trial Lawyers Association to organize and moderate their winter seminar re: litigation strategies and techniques 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2009. Frequent lecturor in the area of Traumatic Brain Injury, litigation strategies and techniques. In 2008 and 2009 presented 2 webinars on 'Endocrine Dysfunction following Traumatic Brain Injury" to a national audience. Member of the Michigan Trial Lawyers Association Executive Board.
Pro bono/Community Service: Elected to the Board of Directors of the Brain Injury Association of Michigan., 2009, Asked to serve on the Legal Advisory Council to the Sara Jane Brain Foundation, 2009, Regularly performs pro bono work in Northern Michigan. Verdicts and Settlements: Many 6 and 7 figure verdicts and settlements. In 1998, I recieved the highest plaintiffs verdict in the history of Oscoda County Michigan.

Other Outstanding Achievements: I'm a licensed fly fishing guide here in Northern Michigan. I'm a member of the Orvis Pro-Staff. I'm federally permitted to guide both the Au Sable and the Manistee Rivers. I'm also the lead guitarist for The Surreal McCoys. Our album in 2008 hit #40 on the top 50 chart for X-Country Radio on XM radio. I've been married to my wife Shawn for 18 years and have two daughters - Caroline and Molly, and a son named Luke.
