In selecting attorneys for Super Lawyers, Law & Politics employs a rigorous, multiphase process. Peer nominations and evaluations are combined with third party research. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis.
The objective is to create a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys that can be used as a resource to assist attorneys and consumers in the search for legal counsel.
Law & Politics has completed the nomination and selection processes for 2009 Minnesota Super Lawyers and 2010 Minnesota Rising Stars; the nomination processes for both will open in July.

2009 Minnesota Super Lawyers is published in August.
Law & Politics will begin accepting nominations for 2010 Minnesota Super Lawyers in July.

Minnesota Super Lawyers is published in August and Minnesota Rising Stars is published in December in a special advertising section in Twin Cities Business, which has a readership of more than 79,000; Mpls.St.Paul Magazine, which reaches more than 328,800 readers; and in Minnesota Law & Politics magazine, which reaches more than 42,000 readers.
