Profile

Deborah Ellis has tried over 50 criminal cases in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and federal courts and argued over 100 appeals. She has successfully litigated numerous post-conviction cases and defended numerous forfeiture actions in the past 25 years. Ms. Ellis is a past President of the Minnesota Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (1994), has served on the Board of Directors of that organization, and, in January 2004, received the Distinguished Member Award from the MACDL. She is also a life member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Ms. Ellis was named one of the Top 40 criminal defense lawyers in Minnesota by Minnesota Law & Politics magazine in 2008 and has been named to the Super Lawyers list since 1998.
