Profile

Doug Hazelton is a partner with Halberg Criminal Defense in Bloomington, Minnesota. He practices exclusively in the area of criminal defense, specializing in alcohol-related traffic offenses (DWI/DUI) and drivers license revocations. Doug is a graduate of the Borkenstein Course conducted at Indiana University (forensics of alcohol testing) and is a certified Intoxilyzer operator. He is a graduate of the National College for DUI Defense conducted at Harvard Law School and was named Minnesota’s Delegate to the College in 2006. Doug frequently lectures on DUI/DWI-related topics both in Minnesota and throughout the United States. His articles appear in Criminal Defense Techniques, Criminal Constitutional Law, and the Hennepin Lawyer. In 2008 Doug authored the Minnesota DWI Law Handbook, Volume 31 of West’s Minnesota Practice Series, now entering its third printing.
