Appellate attorney and litigator, Erik F. Hansen practices in state and federal courts at all levels. Recognized for his direct and concise style of advocacy, he brings a broad range of experience to his appellate practice, handling a variety of cases including commercial matters, immigration appeals, and family law issues. He also maintains an active civil litigation practice focusing on commercial and real estate matters. Hansen sits on the Minnesota Supreme Court Advisory Committee on the Rules of Civil Appellate Procedure, and is an active member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, where he currently serves on the Membership Committee (Chair, 2004-2007) and Publications Committee. He is also a Legal Writing Instructor at the University of Minnesota Law School for the 2007-2008 academic year.This is Hansen's fourth year on the Rising Stars list. He also was named an Up & Coming Attorney for 2006 by Minnesota Lawyer magazine.
