J. Scott Braden has 27 years of experience representing clients in marriage dissolution, post-dissolution, child custody, parenting time, spousal maintenance, and child support matters. Scott assists clients in receiving equitable and efficient outcomes through litigation, mediation, and negotiation strategies. Scott has successfully represented clients in complex dissolution matters in district court and alternative dispute resolution proceedings. Scott also has a substantial guardianship and conservatorship practice. Scott received his B.A. degree from St. John's University in 1978 and his law degree from Hamline University School of Law in 1981. Scott is a board member and Vice President of Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services. He is a Qualified Neutral under Rule 114 and frequently mediates family law disputes. Scott is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, the Fifth District Bar Association (past President), Rice County Bar Association (past President), and an active volunteer in the Faribault community.
