Profile

J.P. Plachecki recently won a landmark Minnesota Supreme Court decision in State v. Burbach. He has tried criminal cases all over the State of Minnesota and was recently co-counsel on a Minnesota case with George Parnham (frequent legal commentator on CNN and counsel to Andrea Yates). For ten years, he tried cases in the Midwest with Minnesota's most famous criminal defense attorney, Douglas Walser Thomson. He is a former Special Assistant Attorney General with the Massachusetts Revenue Department and is currently an adjunct faculty member at Winona State University. He currently is a partner at Price, McCluer & Plachecki, with fellow Super Lawyers list member Richmond H. McCluer, Jr., specializing in criminal defense. Price, McCluer & Plachecki has been serving southeastern Minnesota since 1893.
