Extensive trial experience, attention to detail, and aggressive pursuit of clients' rights are hallmarks of Jim's practice. Officing twelve miles from Iowa and 30 from South Dakota, Malters is licensed in and frequently represents clients in three states. He has numerous multimillion-dollar recoveries and is a frequent CLE lecturer. He has previously served on the Boards of MSBA and MTLA. He co-authored the Minnesota Cause of Action Manual. He is called upon to assist attorneys pursuing claims in the states in which he is licensed. He has successfully litigated cases involving head injuries, construction defects, aviation, insurance disputes, automobile, and general personal injury.
