Jerod H. Peterson has more than 35 years of criminal defense trial experience in the state and federal courts of Minnesota. Jerod is certified as a criminal trial specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and has represented clients throughout the entire state of Minnesota. He has handled an equally broad range of felony and misdemeanor charges as well, including various types of fraud or theft, drug possession with intent, juvenile offenses, sex offenses, domestic violence-related offenses, professional licensure hearings, securities violations, treaty rights violations, serious traffic violations (DWI), government ethics violations and violent crimes such as homicide and aggravated assault.

A 1973 graduate of Stanford Law School, Jerod has been selected by his peers for inclusion in the Minnesota Super Lawyers listings each year since 1997. He was also named one of Minnesota's top 40 criminal defense lawyers in 2009 and holds an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell. In addition to maintaining his law practice, Jerod serves on the board of directors for the Legal Rights Center of Minnesota and teaches courses for both the National Institute for Trial Advocacy and William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota.
