Profile

The problems faced in a family law practice are as old as humanity. Law, legal theory, and our society continue to evolve. Expertise and focus in the area of family law are essential to effective representation. After 35 years of practice, I continue to find family law challenging and rewarding. My family law practice takes me throughout the state in mediation efforts, into trial and appellate courts, and into areas of business law and litigation. My clients' interests and goals are always my primary concern. Perhaps because of that, most of my new clients are referred to me by former clients, their friends, or family. I am also involved in wind energy development and representation of wind energy clients -- a very challenging new field in these times. I believe the strong personal and professional relationships which develop through small-firm representation are a tremendous advantage. I am admitted to practice in the state and federal courts in Minnesota and maintain an inactive membership in the State Bar of California.
