John has achieved outstanding results for his clients with record-setting verdicts in catastrophic injury cases. He was recognized by Minnesota Lawyer as Attorney of the Year in 2002 and 2003. John and his trial team set a record in Minnesota with a $15.9 million verdict in a medical malpractice case involving a brain injury. They also achieved a record in Ramsey County of $5.9 million, then, a record $3.4 million wrongful death verdict in Steele County. In Forde v. Geo. Martin Company, John set a new record for Minnesota personal injury verdicts by obtaining a $35.3 million verdict in a product liability case. In 2003, John was lead counsel in an $11 million verdict for a man injured in a collision with a semi truck and a $3 million verdict for the death of an emancipated young man. John did this with a dedication to and compassion for his clients while representing them against more powerful interests.
