Katherine L. MacKinnon thrives on cases that require a lawyer’s skill and a writer’s craft. She enjoys a lively motion and appeals practice before Minnesota’s appellate courts and numerous federal courts. For seven years, Ms. MacKinnon taught legal writing and appellate advocacy at the University of Minnesota Law School. Some of the areas in which Ms. MacKinnon has recently represented clients include: ERISA claims, employment law, unemployment insurance, and civil procedure. Ms. MacKinnon graduated summa cum laude from Carleton College in 1982 and cum laude from Northwestern University Law School in 1985, where she served on the editorial board of the Northwestern University Law Review and competed on the national moot court team to a second place national finish.
