Kelly Putney is a shareholder with the litigation firm of Bassford Remele. A magna cum laude graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School, Ms. Putney is listed in The Best Lawyers in America in the areas of professional malpractice law and personal injury litigation. She is recognized as a Super Lawyer by Minnesota Law & Politics and one of the Top 50 female Super Lawyers in Minnesota.
Ms. Putney’s practice consists of defending a variety of professionals, including attorneys, insurance agents, accountants, architects, and financial planners in professional negligence actions. Ms. Putney also represents physicians, dentists, nurses, chiropractors and other health care providers in professional malpractice litigation and at their respective professional boards on licensing and disciplinary matters. Clients whom Ms. Putney works for include Minnesota Lawyers Mutual Insurance Company, The Travelers Insurance Companies, Hammel, Green and Abrahamson, Kraus-Anderson, Inc., Fairview Health Services, Allina Health System and HealthPartners, Inc. She is a lecturer on errors and omissions issues confronting agents in today’s market.
In addition to representing her clients, Ms. Putney serves as a Conciliation Court Judge in Hennepin County, having been approved to serve in 2004. She also serves on the Editorial Committee of the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association and has served on its Board of Directors. Ms. Putney is also a member of the Bassford Remele Management Committee.
