Profile

Linda A. Olup is the founder of Olup & Associates, LLC, an Eden Prairie-based family law firm offering clients throughout the Twin Cities the counsel they need to make informed decisions about legal matters affecting their families. Linda herself has been a family law attorney for more than 34 years and has substantial experience with virtually every aspect of this field of practice, including child custody, child support, spousal maintenance, stock options, pensions, nonmarital issues, domestic partnerships, mediation, collaborative divorce, early neutral evaluations and parenting expeditor services.

Linda is the co-author of the Thomson West treatise on family law, which has been used as a reference by the Minnesota Court of Appeals. She holds an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and has been included in the Minnesota Super Lawyers listings every year since its inception in 1991. She has also been named one of the Top 40 Family Lawyers and Top 100 Women Lawyers in Minnesota. Linda was one of the first students in Minnesota to obtain a special limited license that allowed her to represent clients in court while still in law school and one of the first women admitted into the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.

*AV Preeminent and BV Distinguished are certification marks of Reed Elsevier Properties Inc., used in accordance with the Martindale-Hubbell certification procedures, standards and policies. Martindale-Hubbell is the facilitator of a peer review rating process. Ratings reflect the anonymous opinions of members of the bar and the judiciary. Martindale-Hubbell peer review ratings fall into two categories: legal ability and general ethical standards.
