Profile

Matt is a partner and chair of Thomsen & Nybeck's ten-member community association representation group. He litigates real estate, construction, and general business matters, including debtor/creditor disputes for national and local lenders and other businesses, as well as individuals. He also counsels numerous condominium and townhome associations and has been retained by insurers in mechanic's lien litigation and foreclosures by action, and to defend real estate industry professionals. He has tried or arbitrated numerous cases to successful conclusions, before judges and juries, in federal and state courts, and before arbitrators. He graduated cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School, has authored articles and lectured on issues faced by condominium and townhome associations, and contributes regularly to TN Legal Update (http://tnupdate.wordpress.com), a blog about current legal issues. Matt also has been quoted in numerous articles appearing in a national web-based periodical serving community association members and management professionals.
