Profile
For the past 17 years, Mike Brandt has represented clients on charges from murder to speeding tickets. While practicing primarily in criminal defense, Mike has defended clients in forfeitures, administrative hearings, and pre-charge cases. Mike has resolved thousands of cases throughout the state through negotiations, evidentiary hearings, court trials, and jury trials. Mike is frequently called upon to assist other attorneys on DWI and computer cases and acts as a mentor for new attorneys. Mike is known as a tireless advocate for his clients and has earned the respect of judges, prosecutors, and his peers. Mike lectures frequently at continuing legal education seminars on evidence, DWIs, and technology issues. Mike was a co-author of the Minnesota CLE DWI Deskbook and co-authored a book on DWIs for Aspatore Books, authoring a chapter on seizure issues in DWI cases.
