Michael R. Sieben is a certified civil trial advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and the Minnesota Bar Association. His extensive courtroom experience has accrued since joining the Hastings law firm of Sieben Polk, P.A., in 1972, practicing personal injury, wrongful death, product liability law and automobile accidents.
Mr. Sieben is an accomplished trial lawyer, winning several verdicts and settlements exceeding $1 million on behalf of victims over the past 35 years. He has been selected for membership to the American Board of Trial Advocates, the Minnesota Trial Lawyers Association and the Minnesota District Judges' Association. Additionally, Mr. Sieben is a member of The American Association for Justice and the Academy of Certified Trial Lawyers of Minnesota.
From 1973 to 1982, Mr. Sieben served as a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives as the chair of the House Appropriations Committee. He is past chair of the Minnesota Judicial Merit Advisory Commission from 1983 to 1989, past chair of the Judicial Administration Committee of the Minnesota State Bar Association, past chair of the Washington County Study Commission, past adjunct instructor at William Mitchell College of Law in trial advocacy, participating member of Dakota County Legal Assistance, and author of several articles and lectures for trial attorneys.
