Richard A. LaVerdiere has been a certified trial specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy since 1986 and was one of the first certified civil trial specialists in Minnesota. He has been a member of Sieben Polk, P.A., in Hastings since 1981 and specializes his practice in personal injury, product liability and wrongful death.
In 2011 and 2012, Mr. LaVerdiere was selected as the "Minneapolis Area Best Lawyers® Product Liability Litigator of the Year." He has been selected to Super Lawyers every year since 1994, and is a past president of the Minnesota Association for Justice, formerly the Minnesota Trial Lawyers Association, which selected him as "Member of the Year" in 1990. He has represented victims of serious injury and wrongful death in many complex cases with substantial verdicts and recoveries while achieving great recognition for his practice. In 2000, Minnesota Lawyer voted Mr. LaVerdiere "Attorney of the Year."
He is also a member of the American Association for Justice, the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and The National Trial Lawyers. He is a former adjunct clinical professor at William Mitchell College of Law and a continuing legal education lecturer with the Minnesota Bar Association, the Minnesota Trial Lawyers Association and the National Institute for Trial Advocacy.
