Attorney Steven C. Thal has been practicing immigration law since 1982 and is past chair of the Minnesota State Bar Association's Immigration Section. In addition, he has held leadership positions in other local and regional immigration organizations, and he serves as a mentor on immigration issues to local congressional offices. He is a frequent speaker on immigration law issues at legal and community educational meetings. He focuses exclusively on immigration and handles visas of all types, naturalization and citizenship, asylum and deportation, and consular processing.
Prior to law school at the University of Minnesota, he served in the Peace Corps in Ecuador and received his undergraduate education at the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Minnesota. He has been recognized by several legal rating organizations and received the president's award for tireless and creative advocacy from the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
