Suzanne Born, a 1980 graduate of Hamline University School of Law, practices assisted reproduction and adoption law exclusively. She is at the forefront of these complex areas, representing the birth mother in the only reported case in Minnesota interpreting the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children, completing the first co-parent adoption by a same-sex couple, drafting comprehensive third-party reproduction agreements, and working with judges to develop procedures for parentage orders. She represents adopting, birth, and intended parents, gestation carriers, and surrogates. Suzanne has been honored with the Myra Bradwell Award from Minnesota Women Lawyers and the Distinguished Service Award from the Minnesota Justice Foundation and is once again pleased to be named to the Super Lawyers list.
