Profile

Thank you again for this honor. I am again flattered to have my peers recognize me as one of the Top 40 Criminal Lawyers in Minnesota. My experiences outside of the courtroom have given me a foundation that continues to shape my practice. Before practicing law, I flew attack helicopters in the U.S. Army and as a civilian medevac pilot. A similar spirit and unity of purpose exists in the criminal defense community. After 20 years of service, I retired from the Minnesota National Guard, finishing my career in the Judge Advocate General's Corps. I have successfully tried cases ranging from speeding tickets to civil personal injury to complex felonies -- including homicide and defense of white collar crimes. I am a frequent speaker at CLEs on a range of criminal and ethical issues and enjoy sharing information with other dedicated hardworking lawyers.
