The Selection Process

In selecting attorneys for Super Lawyers, Law & Politics employs a rigorous, multiphase process. Peer nominations and evaluations are combined with third party research. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis.

The objective is to create a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys that can be used as a resource to assist attorneys and consumers in the search for legal counsel. Since Super Lawyers is intended to be used as an aid in the selection of a lawyer, we limit the list to attorneys who can be hired and retained by the public, i.e., lawyers in private practice and Legal Aid attorneys.

Testimonials

“Our Texas Super Lawyers ads have been a great way to let other attorneys know about new matters we’re handling and new developments at our firm, including our new offices in California and New York. Positive relationships with other lawyers are a hallmark of our firm, and we know we speak directly to the legal community with our ads in Texas Super Lawyers.”

"To say the least, I'm very happy with the response I received from my profile in Super Lawyers. As a result of my profile I received over two dozen "potential client" calls; 14 of those people became new clients. In addition to new business, almost half of my current clients saw my Super Lawyers profile."
