When Gary C. Robb and Anita Porte Robb founded their firm in 1984, they knew what they wanted. Each had worked for large defense firms since graduating from the University of Michigan Law School, and each had independently reached the conclusion that their hearts were with plaintiffs’ causes. As plaintiffs’ lawyers, they could provide justice to victims who became their clients, while also working to correct and eliminate hazards that cause death and injury. HIGH-PROFILE PROSECUTION

The firm’s cases have been featured on the CBS Evening News, Good Morning America, NBC’s The Today Show, Larry King Live and covered by USA Today, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, CNN.com and AOL Online, as well as local media. The firm won the country’s highest verdict, $350 million, for a single air crash death. It won an $18 million settlement against the World Wrestling Federation for the death of wrestler Owen Hart, and a $25 million jury verdict for a judge who died while inspecting property. The firm also represented former U.S. Sen. Jean Carnahan, winning a $4 million jury verdict for the plane crash that killed her son and husband, former Missouri Gov. Mel Carnahan.

Since graduating cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School, Gary and Anita have distinguished themselves among their peers. Gary is named to the Top 50 Kansas City list in Super Lawyers®, and Anita is named to the Top 50 Women’s list in Super Lawyers. Gary was named to The Best Lawyers in America. The National Law Journal recognized Anita in 2001 as one of the country’s “Top Ten Women Trial Lawyers,” and in 2006, Lawyers USA recognized her as one of five “Women of Note” nationwide. Both are sought-after speakers, prolific authors and active in professional associations. Gary is past president of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys and a past chair of the American Association for Justice’s aviation section and The American Bar Association’s aviation committee of the litigation section.
