David R. Morantz is an associate attorney at the law firm of Shamberg, Johnson & Bergman in Kansas City, Missouri. Since joining the firm in 2005, David has focused his practice on cases involving medical negligence, product liability and other tort actions, including lawsuits against day care providers for injuries to children and infants, as well as wrongful deaths. David has participated in several jury trials as a member of the firm and takes an aggressive, yet civil and ethical approach to representing his clients in litigation.
Before embarking on his legal career, David earned a degree in journalism from the University of Kansas and was an award-winning newspaper reporter for the Associated Press and the Omaha World-Herald. In 2005, he graduated with honors from the University of Kansas’ School of Law and joined Shamberg, Johnson & Bergman soon after. David is admitted to practice in Kansas and Missouri. He is an active member of the Kansas Association for Justice and also enjoys his membership in the Earl E. O’Connor American Inn of Court. Apart from his time as a reporter in South Carolina and Nebraska, David has always called the Kansas City area home.
