John H. Norton is the president of Norton & Norton, P.C., of Kansas City, Missouri, and he has been practicing law for more than 34 years. Focusing on medical malpractice, personal injury and products liability, Mr. Norton is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals, United States District Court, all Missouri courts, including the Supreme Court and the United States District Court, District of Kansas.
Mr. Norton graduated with distinction from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan, and was one of the three young trial lawyers to receive the Lon O. Hocker Memorial Trial Award for Outstanding Trial Lawyer in 1988. Since that time he has distinguished himself as a trial lawyer by winning several multimillion-dollar settlements for his clients.
In addition to his practice, Mr. Norton has written many papers and conducted lectures on various aspects of litigation, including preparing for depositions, selecting expert witnesses and how to settle a case. He belongs to the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, The American Association for Justice and American Board of Trial Advocates. Mr. Norton accepts cases nationwide, but focuses his practice statewide in Missouri and Kansas with the specific emphasis in the Kansas City metro area.
