John Pratt focuses his practice on family law, and he has been practicing law since 1966. He is a lifelong resident of Missouri and earned his Juris Doctorate from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law. John is distinguished as a Super Lawyer in the field of family law.
He is familiar with and experienced in negotiating and litigating for favorable resolutions to family law issues brought by the southwest Missouri clients to Pratt, Fossard & Jensen, LLC. John is a fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and he has served in several leadership positions within the organization and within the Missouri Bar Association.
Recognized as one of the top lawyers in America for several years, in 2010, John received the Roger P. Krumm Family Law Award for Attorney of the Year from the Missouri Bar. He is an active and involved community leader, having held positions on the Springfield City Council and the Ozarks Trail Council.
