Matthew E. Birch is a partner at the law firm of Shamberg, Johnson & Bergman in Kansas City, Missouri. Matthew's practice focuses on representing individuals and families who have been harmed because of defective products, medical negligence and various other causes of personal injury and wrongful death. To Matthew and his clients, these cases are not about money. They are about changing corporate policy for the better, improving the quality of medical care in the community and honoring the memory of loved ones by holding wrongdoers responsible for their conduct.
A lifelong resident of the Kansas City metropolitan area, Matthew graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law with several distinguishing honors and later served as a law clerk to the Honorable Dean Whipple, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri (2001-2003). Matthew is admitted to practice in state and federal courts in both Missouri and Kansas. He is also an active member of the American Association for Justice, the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, the Kansas Association for Justice and the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association.
