Michael P. Joyce's trial practice emphasizes representing individuals and corporations in white collar criminal defense and complex commercial litigation.  Mr. Joyce has tried or been involved in cases before the trial and/or appellate courts at the federal or state level throughout the country.  His accomplishments include acquittals at every level of government prosecution from municipal court to state court to federal court.  Mr. Joyce has extensive experience advising clients in corporate and regulatory compliance and leading corporate internal investigations.  Mr. Joyce is licensed to practice in Missouri and Kansas.  Mr. Joyce has been selected for inclusion in the following publications since 1998: Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the Midwest, and Who's Who in the World.  He received the President's Award from the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association in 2000.  Mike is a member of the American, Missouri, Kansas and Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Associations.  He is also a member of the National and Missouri Associations of Criminal Defense Lawyers.  Mike recently completed a term on the board of directors for the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association.  Mr. Joyce has been in private practice in Kansas City since graduating from law school.  He co-taught a course at the University of Missouri-Kansas City Law School entitled "Criminal Sentencing-Law, Practice and Procedure" for five years.  Mr. Joyce has spoken at a number of seminars, including at the ABA's annual seminar on White Collar Crime. The choice of a lawyer is an important decision and should not be based solely upon advertisements.
