Profile

T. Michael Ward is Brown & James, P.C.'s managing principal.  He also serves as chairman of the firm's Appellate Practice Group.  He has handled over one hundred fifty appeals, including cases before the Supreme Court of Missouri, the Missouri Court of Appeals, the Appellate Court of Illinois, and the Seventh and Eighth Circuits of the United States Court of Appeals.  His experience also includes complex civil litigation in matters concerning insurance coverage, environmental law, and professional liability defense.  In addition, Mr. Ward has been active in the Saint Louis Volunteer Lawyers' Program.  In 1994, he received the Volunteer Service Award for outstanding service to the Volunteer Lawyers' Program.  He also recently authored Chapter 5, "Applying Doctrines to Override Policy Interpretation Principles," of the New Appleman Insurance Law Practice Guide, which was published in 2007.
