Profile

Spencer E. Farris is the founder of The S.E. Farris Law Firm, located in St. Louis, Missouri. Focusing his practice on personal injury litigation, he represents plaintiffs throughout the state who have been harmed by the negligence of others in such matters as motor vehicle accidents, products liability, medical malpractice, premises liability and nursing home abuse.

After graduating from Oklahoma State University with his Bachelor of Arts in English, Mr. Farris went on to attend Washington University School of Law, where he was awarded his Juris Doctor in 1992. While in law school, he was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award in Evidence. After graduation, Mr. Farris spent several years as an associate at a St. Louis firm before founding The S.E. Farris Law Firm in 2001. He is admitted to practice in Missouri and Illinois.

Mr. Farris has been certified as a civil trial lawyer by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, an organization accredited by the American Bar Association and recognized for its demanding certification methods. He has also received numerous honors and recognition during his career, including a 10.0 "Superb" peer-review rating through Avvo, and freely shares his experience as an adjunct professor at Saint Louis University School of Law.

An active participant in several professional organizations, Mr. Farris serves on the board of governors of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, is a member of the American Association for Justice and was one of the founding members of the Consumer Attorney Network. He is also a past chairman of the Trial Section of The Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis and is the author of a syndicated column on legal issues.
