Verdicts and Settlements:

  • 1.4 Million Dollar verdict against moving truck rental company for negligently maintaining the brakes of the truck which led to the crash that ultimately killed the driver.  This was a difficult case to prove because the product was destroyed shortly after the wreck.  However, overhead helicopter film was used to show the brake marks were only left from the front brakes.  Expert testimony established that had all the brakes been working the vehicle would have stopped prior to the fatal impact.  This verdict was recognized as a top ten verdict in Missouri for the 2006 year., 2006
