The product-related death of his father (a lawyer in the prime of his life) crystallized Dirk Vandever's resolve to represent those injured or killed through the fault of others. For over 30 years, since his graduation with honors from law school, he has committed himself to personal injury law -- an area in which he has been selected to The Best Lawyers in America and Kansas City Business Journal's Best of the Bar. His clients have included victims of the Hyatt sky collapse, asbestos inhalation (where he won the first Missouri verdict for an electrician), motor vehicle collisions, and dangerous drugs and machines. He served as the youngest President of the Kansas City Bar and as President of the Kansas City Bar Foundation, and is currently Past President of the Missouri/Kansas Chapter of ABOTA.
