As senior partner of one of Nevada's largest firms, Alverson specializes in civil and commercial trial work. He has been Board Certified in Civil Trial Advocacy by the National Board of Trial Advocacy since 1985. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers (Nevada State Chairman, 2004-2007); Advocate, American Board of Trial Advocates (Las Vegas Chapter President, 2002-2007, National Board of Directors, 2007-present); Fellow, International Academy of Trial Lawyers; Fellow, International Society of Barristers; Member, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; and serves on the Board of Trustees for the United States Supreme Court Historical Society. He has been an Adjunct Professor at William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV and has taught Nevada History at the College of Southern Nevada. He has written and published articles on both legal and historical topics. Education: University of Nevada, B.S.
