Bar/Professional Activity:
- I am currently the President-Elect for the New Jersey State Bar, a member of the MAPS Committee, and the Chairman of the Joint Task Force on Disaster Planning. I am also a member of the General Council Executive Committee, Chairman of the Finance and Operations Committee, and Trustee Liaison to the Law Office Management Committee and a member of the Long Term Planning Committee. I was formerly the New Jersey State Bar Association liaison to the Cumberland County Bar Association, and liaison to the Casino Law Section. I was the Trustee of the Cumberland County Bar Association and held all elected positions, including President, from 1985 to 1986. I was the organizing member of the Nuts and Bolts Division of the Cumberland County Bar Association. I am currently a member of AAJ-NJ and a Sustaining member of National AAJ. I have served on the Board of Governors of AAJ-NJ from 1984 to 1987. I am a Certified Civil Trial Attorney, having been certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey and the National Board of Trial Advocacy. I was a member of the Judicial and County Prosecutor's Selection Committee of Cumberland County.
Other Outstanding Achievements:
- I am an avid runner and have completed in 20 marathons. I have run the Boston Marathon 14 times, the Philadelphia Marathon five times and the Marine Corps Marathon once. I am an active member of the Tortuga Running Club of Ocean City, New Jersey. I am also active in politics on a state and regional basis. I am a former member of the Bridgeton Jaycees. I received the Spark Plug of the Year award in 1977. I am a former member of the Bridgeton Area Rotary Club and am currently a member of the Italian American Civil Club where I serve as their attorney. I served as member of the College Board of Trustees for Cumberland County College from 1984 to 1993 and I was the first alumni member of the Board. I am currently a member and Chairman of the Board of the South Jersey Drug Treatment Center, having been a member of that Board since 1995. I was a former member of the Board of Governors of AAJ-NJ. I was on the Board of Trustees of L.E.G.A.L. This organization was a forerunner to AAJ-PAC. I am a founding member of the Cumberland County College Alumni Association. I am a former member of the Board of the Alumni Association of Widener Law School and a visiting professor at the Widener University School of Law Intensive Trial Advocacy Program. I have been part of that staff for approximately 12 years. Until March 2005 I was a state approved mediator and I served as an arbitrator for the State Courts of New Jersey and the Federal Courts of New Jersey. I have participated in seminars for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education and also seminars sponsored by Lorman Education Services, a Division of Lorman Business Center, Inc. I am a member of the Sun National Bank Advisory Board. Graduate of the Advanced Advocacy College, cosponsored by the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and the University of Nevada at Reno in 1979.
