Veronica Davis is a certified matrimonial law attorney serving clients in Monmouth County and surrounding portions of north and central New Jersey. She concentrates her practice on family law litigation, mediation and collaboration, which includes divorce, adoption and domestic violence. She also makes referrals for all other areas of law.
Her status as a certified attorney is rare. In fact, as of December 20, 2010, only 118 attorneys in the entire state had applied for certification and met the New Jersey Supreme Court's rigorous requirements with respect to trial experience in Superior Court, reputation (attested to by judges and attorneys) and demonstrated knowledge of the law, as shown by passing a special written examination on trial practice. In 2001, Ms. Davis not only appeared before the Supreme Court of New Jersey, she successfully argued on behalf of her client in what is now the seminal case on a custodial parent's right to relocate outside New Jersey with children, Bauers v. Lewis, 167 N.J. 91 (2001).
Ms. Davis is a graduate of Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey and Rutgers Law School, Newark, New Jersey. She is also a published author and a member of several professional organizations, including the New Jersey Shore Collaborative Law Group, the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Monmouth County Women Lawyers Association.
