Victor Rotolo is a tenacious, successful trial lawyer. He is certified as a Civil Trial Attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey and is a member of the prestigious Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Recognized in the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers, Victor holds the highest attorney rating from Martindale-Hubbell (AV). Before entering law school, Victor spent two years as a police officer in Elizabeth, New Jersey.

Victor teaches trial practice as an adjunct faculty member of the Hofstra University School of Law's Trial Advocacy Program and with the National Institute for Trial Advocacy Program. He serves as a commentator at the Institute for Continuing Legal Education (ICLE) and was appointed by the Supreme Court of New Jersey for membership and service on the District Ethics Committee where he was honored to serve as Vice-Chair and Chair from 2009-2011. Victor has arbitrated for the American Arbitration Association and the New Jersey Courts. He is a judge on the Yale Mock Trial Invitational sponsored by Yale University and has been appointed by the Court as a Discovery Master in complex contentious litigation. 

Victor is an accomplished advocate with three primary areas of expertise: family law, civil litigation, and criminal litigation. Additionally, Rotolo has extensive experience in general liability, product liability, police and governmental liability, federal civil rights actions, employment law, divorce and custody matters, recreational law, medical and legal malpractice, and automobile negligence.

Verdicts and Settlements:

  • Won a landmark sexual abuse case in 2008 before the New Jersey Supreme Court on behalf of "R.L." In 2010, that ruling set the stage for a legislative change to New Jersey's Sexual Abuse Law. If the pending bill passes, a victim of abuse will no longer have to file a lawsuit within a two-year statute of limitations of when the victim knew he or she was abused and connects that abuse to his or her injuries.
  • Successfully argued and won the case of Pfenninger v. Hunterdon Central High School before the NJ Supreme Court. This was a leading construction negligence case that was litigated over a period of 8 years. The construction worker's widow and her children were awarded a 7-figure settlement.
