Daniel C. Malone is respected within the legal community as an exceptional resource in several areas, including commercial contracts, securities, and financial services and technology-related disputes. Mr. Malone currently practices in New York City with the law firm of Scarola Malone & Zubatov LLP.
Daniel Malone is a graduate, cum laude, of Yale University and holds an M.F.A. from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. He received his J.D. from Columbia Law School. While at Columbia, Mr. Malone was honored as a Stone Scholar 1993-94, 1994-95 and 1995-96.
Mr. Malone practiced at the law firm of Dechert LLP for 10 years, including five as a partner and four as hiring partner in the firm's New York office. He has brought his expertise and reputation to Scarola Malone & Zubatov LLP, where he litigates cases in a variety of industries and areas of law.
Mr. Malone is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and several federal district courts. His international matters include a representation of the Republic of Paraguay before the Supreme Court and International Court of Justice and an ongoing representation of 16 Afghan nationals imprisoned at the Guantanamo Bay Naval Station. Mr. Malone has been honored with a selection to the New York Super Lawyers list.

Pro bono/Community Service:
- Mr. Malone participated in the representation of the Republic of Paraguay before both the United States Supreme Court, on petition for a writ of certiorari and motion for leave to file an original action, and the International Court of Justice, by application instituting proceedings and request for provisional measures. He acted as lead counsel in the Supreme Court on behalf of American citizens and service organizations as amici curiae interested in the reciprocal enforcement of the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations. He has helped lead an ongoing representation of sixteen Afghan nationals imprisoned at the Guantanamo Bay Naval Station, as petitioners for the writ of habeas corpus.
