Profile

David L. Berkey is a managing partner of Gallet Dreyer & Berkey, LLP, where he practices real estate law and litigation, concentrating on issues affecting cooperative corporations and condominium associations. He graduated, cum laude, from both New York University (1972) and Cornell Law School (1975) and teaches litigation at Cardozo Law School's Intensive Trial Advocacy Program. From 2000-2007, Mr. Berkey was Co-Chairman of the New York State Bar Association's Committee on Condominiums and Cooperatives. Mr. Berkey has been consulted by The New York Times, Habitat Magazine and the Cooperator and speaks regularly on current legal developments and other topics of interest to cooperative and condominium board members, shareholders and unit owners.
