Doris L. Martin is a Partner at Garfunkel Wild, P.C., where she heads the Personal Services and Estate Planning Practice Group and is a member of the Discharge Planning - Patient Rights and Elder Law Group. Ms. Martin advises clients on estate planning, administration and litigation, charitable giving, elder law, tax-exempt organizations, and qualified retirement plans. Ms. Martin frequently writes and lectures on estate planning, and has particular experience in estate planning for physicians. Ms. Martin is a past secretary of the Trusts, Estates and Surrogate’s Court Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. She also served as a member of the Board of Directors of North Shore Child and Family Guidance Center, a mental health services provider to children and families, as well as on the Board of Directors of the Tender Loving Care Foundation, devoted to improving the experience of parents with children in neonatal intensive care units. She now serves on the Board of Trustees of the Douglaston-Little Neck Historical Society, a community preservation organization.
