Henry L. Goldberg is a prominent authority in construction law and government contracting. He enjoys a working relationship with the leadership of most contracting agencies in the area and is at the forefront of developments and legislation affecting the industry. Mr. Goldberg counsels his clients with regard to problems that arise during all phases of construction and is involved in all types of construction project claims and controversies. The firm represents many of the largest heavy highway contractors, general building contractors, subcontractors, and owners and developers who are at the forefront of the industry.
An active member and supporter of virtually every N.Y. based construction and contracting industry association. Mr. Goldberg is General Counsel to the Subcontractor Trade Association and the Construction Management Association of America's Metro NY/NJ Chapter. He is also a member of the MOLES,a fraternal organization of the heavy construction industry. an honor given to only a small select goup of non-engineers in the U.S. He is past president of the Construction Financial Management Association-New York Chapter and founding Board member and Counsel to the Long Island Chapter. He serves on the AGC’s Surety Bond and Highway Bridge Committee and the New York Building Congress/MTA Transportation and Infrastructure Committees.Mr. Goldberg is the Ediitor in Chief of the venerable three-volume treatise Federal Contract Management published by Matthew Bender. He is a long standing member of several federal contracting groups and associations including the National Contract Management Association (“NCMA”), the National Defense Industry Association (“NDIA”), The Federal Highway Committee of the Association of General Contractors (“AGC”), and the American Bar Associations Public Contract Law Committee.
Mr. Goldberg is a graduate of Cornell University and Fordham Law School. He received his Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations in 1971 and his J.D .degree in 1974. He has the highest peer review rating (Preeminent AV) by Martindale Hubbell .
