Jack Cooney, a Principal in the New York Office of McKool Smith, has represented individuals and institutions in matters relating to a wide range of criminal charges involving securities and insider trading, fraud, taxation, antitrust, government contracting, regulatory violations, accounting irregularities and environmental accidents. A Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, Mr. Cooney has served as chairman of its Committee on the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure and frequently lectures on white collar crime at various academic and professional seminars. Mr. Cooney served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York from 1972 to 1977.
