Experienced attorney Laurie Berke-Weiss handles employment matters, commercial disputes and transactions for a variety of businesses, corporations and other entities in the state of New York. A partner in the preeminent New York City law firm of Berk-Weiss & Pechman LLP, she holds a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and a Master's degree in Industrial Relations from Rutger's University.
Laurie Berke-Weiss is a passionate writer and lecturer in the areas of employment discrimination, law practice management and ethics. She has held key leadership positions with several prominent associations, including the New York Women's Bar Association and the New York Women's Bar Association Foundation, Inc. Currently, she is a member of the New York State Bar House of Delegates, the Cornell University Council and the President's Council of Cornell Women.
In 2010, Laurie Berke-Weiss received the Judge William Groat Alumni Award from the Cornell School of Industrial and Labor Relations. The award recognized her professional work and exemplary service to her undergraduate alma mater. She has been admitted to practice in the Second Circuit and Southern and Eastern District courts of New York and the United States Supreme Court.
