Profile

Peter Goetz has more than 35 years’ experience as an attorney specializing in construction and real estate law. He is also an RPI graduate civil engineer and serves as Chairman of RPI’s Civil and Environmental Advisory Committee. He has prosecuted and defended complex construction disputes between owners, design professionals, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors relating to scope changes, design and construction defects, changed conditions, delays, and terminations. Mr. Goetz is an experienced advocate in the court and in the arbitration and mediation process both domestically and overseas and serves regularly as an arbitrator on the American Arbitration Association’s Large Complex Case Panel. A respected lecturer worldwide, he has written hundreds of articles pertaining to construction and real estate law. He is also an active experienced instrument rated pilot. He was also listed in 2008 Super Lawyers published in The New York Times and is a 2009 New York magazine Best Lawyer.
