Steven G. Mintz is a founding partner of Mintz & Gold, LLP, in New York City. Since its formation in 1993, Mintz & Gold has grown to include 28 lawyers, and Mr. Mintz leads the firm’s commercial litigation and appellate litigation departments.
Mr. Mintz graduated valedictorian and summa cum laude from Brooklyn Law School in 1988 where he acted as a notes editor of the Law Review. Following his graduation, Mr. Mintz served as a personal law clerk to the Honorable Vito J. Titone of the New York State Court of Appeals. In 1993, Steven partnered with Steven W. Gold to found Mintz & Gold. Mr. Mintz handles a diverse range of cases including complex business litigation, intellectual property, white collar criminal defense, labor and employment litigation, real estate and matrimonial litigation.
Steven Mintz is respected and recognized as an invaluable resource within the New York State legal community. Mr. Mintz often provides advice and consultation to in-house counsel, as well as to other lawyers and law firms. He served as executive vice president, business affairs and general counsel of the organizing committee for the 1998 Good Will Games, Inc., from 1992 to 1996. Mr. Mintz also acted as director of the New York City Sports Commission Foundation from 1991 to 1994. Mr. Mintz is currently the Treasurer and board member of The Ghetto Film School, a New York based not-for-profit that helps educate and develop the next generation of great American film makers.
