In the 30 years that Susan L. Bender has been in practice, matrimonial practice has occupied approximately 90 percent of her time. She is the chair of the Matrimonial Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and serves on the Matrimonial Advisory Committee of the Unified Court System. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and a member of its Board of Governors and Executive Committee. She is a fellow of the American College of Family Trial Lawyers and a past President of the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York. Ms. Bender continues to lecture in many areas of family law for New York State and City Bar Associations and other state associations. Ms. Bender was appointed to the matrimonial commission by Chief Judge Judith S. Kaye.
