In the 27 years that Susan L. Bender has been in practice, matrimonial practice has occupied approximately 90 percent of her time. She is the chair of the Matrimonial Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and a member of its Board of Governors and Executive Committee. Ms. Bender is a fellow of the American College of Family Trial Lawyers and a past President of the Women's Bar Association of the State of New York (WBASNY). Ms. Bender continues to lecture in many areas of family law and procedure for the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, WBASNY, the New York State Bar Association, and other state bar associations. Ms. Bender was appointed to the Committee to Certify Law Guardians for Appointment in Domestic Relations Matters.
