Profile

Tom Pitegoff helps companies launch and operate franchise businesses. He drafts franchise agreements and disclosure documents, handles franchise registrations, and provides ongoing franchise compliance counseling. He also provides general counsel services. Tom is Chair of the Franchise, Distribution, and Licensing Committee of the NYS Bar Association's Business Law Section and a member of the section's Executive Committee. He served on the Governing Committee of the ABA's Forum on Franchising and as an editor of the Franchise Law Journal. A frequent writer on franchise law subjects, Tom's most recent article is "Franchising in New York After the Revised FTC Rule," NYSBA Business Law Journal (2007).  He was named a "Legal Eagle" by Franchise Times Magazine.  He was also selected by Who's Who Legal as being among 235 of the world's pre-eminent franchise lawyers.
